A Foundation year at FY3 level may be the best option for you from August 2020. We are actively seeking FY3 to join the Emergency Department at Northwick Park Hospital, London North West Hospitals Trust from August 2020. The posts start with a 2 day departmental Induction programme on Wednesday August 5th All previous Foundation FY3 doctors have gone on to gain posts in EM ACCS. You will be helped in this aim by having a tailored educational programme and an educational supervisor. As a FY3 EM doctor you will be a junior member of the department supported at all times by the presence of an EM Consultant or an EM registrar on the shop floor. We have 3 ACCS Stems in the Trust and the EM ACCS trainees have offered to give mentorship to the successful candidates The department has a reputation as being very busy but resilient and very friendly. We see adults and children. We are a Major Trauma Unit and a HASU. There is no concern about lack of clinical exposure at Northwick Park Hospital and our FY3 doctors are encouraged to spend time working in all areas of the department. Developing clinical skill sets including EM ultrasound, supporting audit work and QIP work are all part of the priority for our FY3 doctors The post attracts 27 days annual leave The pay scale commences at £34,466 basic |
